Piece of history, that has survived and seen historical events

Red Cottage is more than a building o; it is a miracle in Rovaniemi. In 1944 during Lapland war almost the entirety of Rovaniemi was burnt, but this building survived and stood as a silent witness to those historical events. Red Cottage is one of Rovaniemis most known buildings.

In 2023 Red Cottage faced an arson and was damaged heavily. It was bought by a local entrepreneur and renovated in 2026 to its deserved glory.

Today the building stands as one of Rovaniemis most historical buildings.
